The ASI to be a communication platform for supporting children’s projects aimed at transformation of the urban space

17 children’s projects, developed in Artek as part of the project session “The Urban Space of the Future for Children’s Development”, will receive support from partners: the All-Russian People’s Front (ALPF), the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Russian FederationSberbank of Russia, the Sberbank’s Charity Foundation “Investment in the Future”, Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, the Rybakov Foundation, the Federal Operator of Children’s Technoparks Network “Kvantorium”, Institute for Development of the Social Capital and Entrepreneurship (Preactum).

The certificates for expert support were granted to children by partners’ representatives at the official closing of the session in Artek on July 22, 2017.

The projects selected by experts will receive mentoring support and assistance to attract the partners’ resources. The Agency for Strategic Initiatives will become a communication platform to ensure interaction between the children, the partners, and the concerned organizations.

Natalya Kremneva, Deputy Director of the “Social Projects” direction, told us that the project objective is teaching children the skills of designing, so that they could create realistic solutions, which will help transform the space, the territory where they live. This should be a conscious action and understanding of the fact that their contribution to the urban development is sought for; the children should have a desire to stay there and build their future, she believes.

“I tried on myself all the projects the children presented today, how they can be useful to me, my family, my children. So I vote for each of them; I would really like to see them all implemented as part of a comfortable environment for both children and adults. The Agency for Strategic Initiatives, as the project organizers, takes over the function of a communication platform, and we invite children and partners to participate in the further dialogue, which will help the projects become a reality,” Natalya Kremneva stressed.
