Joint areas of work in the areas of agricultural development and ecology, including through the use of information technologies and big data, were identified by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation on the issues of the agro-industrial complex, natural resources and ecology Alexey Gordeev and Svetlana Chupsheva, General Director of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives at the working meeting, which took place in Moscow on November 15.

According to Svetlana Chupsheva, projects in these areas will be integrated into the revised version of the action plan ("roadmap") of the National Technology Initiative (NTI) for the FoodNet market and synchronized with the Federal Science and Technology Program (FSTP) of agricultural development for 2017 -2025 years.

“The road map will soon be finalized taking into account new proposals and projects and submitted for discussion by the government in the framework of the Presidium of the Council for Modernization of the Economy and Innovative Development of Russia,” the head of ASI said.

FoodNet is one of the 10 NTI “road maps”, which includes 5 breakthrough segments: “smart” agriculture, accelerated selection, new sources of raw materials, affordable organic matter and personalized nutrition. The map was developed by ASI experts. It is aimed at creating a regulatory system that ensures the growth and development of NTI markets, as well as infrastructure for project support.

Another area of interaction is the ASI expert support in the implementation of the state program for the development of rural areas. By order of the President of Russia, by June 1, 2019, the program should be submitted to the government by the Ministry of Agriculture.

Alexey Gordeev also offered the agency to expand its activities in a separate direction of the implementation of the national project on ecology. The Deputy Prime Minister noted that the national project covers a wide range of problems and includes several global federal projects - “Clean City”, “Clean Water”, “Clean Air”, “Integrated Solid Municipal Waste Management System”, to which “it would be expedient to connect volunteer movement.

As a successful practice with the participation of volunteers, Svetlana Chupsheva cited the “Clean Games” program for cleaning natural and urban areas from household waste as an example. The project was launched in 19 regions of Russia and attracted about 5,000 activists who jointly collected more than 100 tons of garbage.
